The January 6 Committee has dropped its subpoena for former President Donald Trump —and he has some thoughts about it. The Donald hit TRUTH Social to react to the news.
“Was just advised that the Unselect Committee of political Thugs has withdrawn the Subpoena of me concerning the January 6th Protest of the CROOKED 2020 Presidential Election,” Trump shared on TRUTH. “They probably did so because they knew I did nothing wrong, or they were about to lose in Court. Perhaps the FBI’s involvement in RIGGING the Election played into their decision. In any event, the Subpoena is DEAD!”

In a letter sent to Trump attorney David Warrington, Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), Chairman of the January 6 Committee, said that the subpoena he issued to Trump back in October would no longer be pursued.
“As you may know, the Select Committee has concluded its hearings, released itsfinal report and will very soon reach its end. In light of the imminent end of our investigation, the Select Committee can no longer pursue the specific information covered by the subpoena,” Thompson wrote.
“Therefore, through this letter, I hereby formally withdraw the subpoena issued to former President Trump, and notify you that he is no longer obligated to comply or produce records in response to said subpoena,” it added. “We appreciate your engagement with the Select Committee on this matter.”

Keep the J6 panel going, with new panel members.
That’s okay. The RINOs will subpoena Trump just because (politics).
Keep it going long enough to withdraw all charges made against people.
It would be interesting to see if you can do the following. Since it was an illegally formed committee of questionable constitutionally drop all ‘sovereign immunity protection’ of its participants. Let them be at risk for civil actions by those wronged!
And while they’re at it, scrub Trumps name off the subpoena and replace it with Lesko Brandon.
Mission Accomplished. Now they can brag “Trump is the only ex-president who has been subpoenaed.” Nevermind that that is just half of the story; it’s their new narrative and they will stick to it.
