I understand your thoughts on this, however Putin’s approval rating in Russia in the same survey before the “invasion” was around 60%. So your theory does not really hold up, although I am sure that Old Joe appreciates your efforts.
Putin’s approval has also gone up in other non-Western countries throughout the world over the past year.
The propaganda part of the war is winning in the West but not in other places. Why do you think that 80% of the world’s population is completely ignoring the “sanctions” and have lined Russia’s pockets with an additional $100 Billion in oil revenues alone as compared to last year. If they were buying into the same nonsense this wouldn’t be happening.
Unfortunately Putin’s popularity in Russia and other countries representing approximately 80% of the world’s population is real and playing mental gymnastics to enable yourself to believe otherwise is a fruitless pursuit. The situation in Ukraine has a long history and is far more complicated than the propogandists in the West are trying to portray and most of the world is not buying into it.
Strangely, Putin is actually a more popular figure in some other countries than he has been in Russia. In Vietnam his popularity continues to hover around 89%. Who knows why.
I find it amusing how your mind works. Do you think the Russian media was any more open before they invaded? Putin puts his political adversaries in their graves or he poisons them almost to death.
I am not sure why you brain cannot comprehend that a person can hold both Putin and Biden in contempt. Your logic is typically Slavic. Inflexible and fixated. And so wrong.
But keep quoting what some barely significant southeast Asian country thinks about Putin. I am curious what they think of him in Laos. It’s just as relevant. How about Surinam?
And I am hardly a huge supporter of Ukraine, other than feeling sorry that they have to endure having Russians in their country. This could end tomorrow with putting the tanks in reverse and going home.

Not strange at all. It was the Soviets who armed, supplied, and provided intel to the NVA, as well as provide the NVA with Soviet “experts” to fly Migs and operate AA batteries against US forces. That was very much Russia’s proxy war against the US.
