Pizza boxes are not recyclable due to the grease on the cardboard.

True. I worked in a machine shop years ago as a custodian and had the devils own time trying to explain to my boss that the reason the carting company wouldn’t accept the boxes machine parts came in was because the cardboard was soaked with grease and machine oil.

Plastic in the cardboard.

The grease would cause the pizza to fall right through the box without that plastic additive.
