Really? What is the law in Texas to defend property?

Here in SC, deadly force can only be used in self defense. The perp better be armed or an overwhelming physical threat.

When dealing with rioters and looters it is unwise to assume they aten’t intent on injury to you.

You can use deadly force in Texas to prevent theft of your property. Example below.

1. Bad guy is outside probably in the process of stealing your car and he has not broken into it yet. You cannot use deadly force. You can hold him at gun point. If he tries to attack you, he then became a deadly threat. You can shoot him.

2. Bad guy is in your car and is about to flee with it. You can use deadly force.
