well, that depends, 1) we’re not sure for certain which mutants are running wild in China, 2) the EU is not 100% vaccinated, which increases the chances for additional mutants and increased elderly deaths 3) we’re not sure how many EU people are vaccinated with the updated Omnicron vaccine 4) or how effective the updated vaccines are against the latest versions of immunity-evading virus
until China comes clean, and/or Japan/India is able to sequence the virus spreading through China, it’s prudent to restrict travel from China
