A few years ago we went to South Africa to visit national parks (particularly Kruger).As part of our photo safari group was a brain researcher at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm.One night at the camp while we were all gathered around the fire he kind of took the stage and talked about his work. I found it fascinating,as did the two German medical students who were part of the group.
At one point he said to us "scientists know more about the surface of the moon than they do about the human brain.
Pretty humbling...IMO.
