Can't anyone take a joke anymore? "Lighten up, Francis."

Maybe Jeff Ross could show up for the execution. You know, do a little stand up to get the witnesses and staff "warmed up". Might as well go out with a happy face, and on a positive note. Being a Debbie Downer never gets you anywhere.

[...] anecdote about a gifted character actor who, while lying on his deathbed, delivered a famously incisive line about playing comic roles. A visitor approached the actor who was ill in a hospital and said sympathetically, “This must be very difficult for you”. The actor lifted his head, smiled weakly, and disagreed saying “No. No. It is not too bad”. He then spoke the classic apothegm: Dying is easy. Comedy is difficult.

Regards,

This is his Texas Department of Criminal Justice profile. He sounds like a real sweetheart.
