It’s an aesthetic thing for me. I fancy the beach scape. Even though I’m trying to build a food forest I have a heavy nod toward the native beach plants. I steal beach sunflower and beach croton cuttings and stick them in the dirt in my yard. LOL. I’mma steal a sea oat seed pod one day if I can muster up the guts to do it.

But anyway, let’s hope they’re smart enough to scape the place where natural protections are part of the plan. Dunes are very powerful tools for that. I love a resort that’s hidden by a jungle, then reveals itself once you get there.

You know it's ironic but in many cases conservative fishermen are far more concerned about the environment, fisheries and their surroundings than are the ones in charge:far lefties.

We have a huge problem on both sides of the Keys now.Sharks. Along with Jewfish, aka, Goliath Grouper they have become even more of an apex predator than they were before.

On the bay side much of which lies within the boundaries of the Everglades nat. park sharks eat gamefish 24/7 and we are not allowed to stop it.

We carefully release fish such as bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook, redfish and many other species so they can be caught again, reproduce and add to the species.

The dems in charge don't care about the future of our valued gamefish they care more about the sharks.

We have to beg them to kill off a few sharks so they will stop eating fish that we so carefully value and try to protect. But they still say no!

Our logic falls of deaf ears.

This is all due to deep sea processing ships largely owned by chicoms,Japanese and other countries that rape the ocean and engage in "shark finning."

Shark finning is where sharks are caught live and their fins cut off sharks thrown back in the water and the fins sold on the market. They are sold largely in Asia as aphrodisiacs.

It's a terrible practice and hated by all but a few who engage in it and those who believe the fins have extraordinary powers.

We could easily unite with the left to stop shark finning and let us protect inshore species but the left would have to give up a little power. They don't ever want to do that.

Same thing on the other side of the Keys the ocean side where sharks eat anything hooked by fishermen which destroys any of the carefully created bag and size limits set by regulators and fishermen.

It's a sad commentary on the hard left but not too surprising since they are seldom what they claim to be.
