If you take no paycheck, or turn your entire paycheck over to charities or make other donations, well gee, you don't have much tax liability.

If he donated his pay he still has the tax liability minus charitable deductions.

IOW he paid to be our President. Not even counting what business losses he incurred.

Someone let me know if I'm wrong.

Pretty sure you are right.
Plus Congress & President have to pay into SS (with some options) since 1984 & I’m pretty sure it’s the same for the Medicare tax.

Starting to tear apart “where” (and maybe “if”) he donated his salary here:

I downloaded Pres. Trumps tax forms.
Cursory glance.
I didn’t see where W2s were included.

The 2017 filing (for 2016 income) contains a Schedule A Charitable Contributions Worksheet.
The worksheet only has dollar amounts with no details.

I didn’t see the Schedule A Charitable Contributions Worksheet for the 2018-2020 filings.

Is it possible these RAT s didn’t include everything ?
