Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area. In the 1960s I remember nonstop rain in November and December some years. In the 1970s there were some drought years. Also, in the 1970s, it was so cold it snowed in the Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Redwood City area (with the snow maintaining on the ground). Global Cooling was all the rage. Global Cooling morphed into Global Warming. It ceased warming, so Climate Change was created, then Climate Crisis. I could probably write a Grant Request, and title it Globull Crisis, and the wackos would fund it as long as I promised to predict doom and gloom.
Yes, for the media, everything is a crisis!
Ho wonder, the young are all depressed!
The 1970s had some crazy weather. Crazier than what we are having today.
