Miami quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is in the NFL's concussion protocol, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said at a Monday news conference.

The announcement comes a day after Tagovailoa played the entire game as the Dolphins lost to the Green Bay Packers. It is the second time this season the 24-year-old quarterback has landed in the concussion protocol.

It also comes several months after he was in the spotlight for apparent head injuries and the league and the players' union agreed to update the protocol -- the NFL's policies for assessing and caring for players who sustain a concussion.

The Dolphins are rotted fish for 2022 and are going nowhere. Tua is not that intelligent; he can’t afford more dead brain cells. He’s finished until the 2023 season, at least.

He may or may not have a concussion... He definitely has a jersey recognition problem... Three possessions, three interceptions in a row.

He's a baller. But someone needs to save him from himself. His brain is probably already gone though.

If he tries to play football again then he is more stupid than he looks. My guess is that his brain is already shot from continual concussions in college until now.

I saw a documentary on football and soccer (”heading” the ball a thousand times since childhood does the same thing).

A major study used NCAA college freshman football players as the “control group” compared to NFL veterans, using MRIs, CAT scans, etc.

The shocker was that the NCAA freshman already had significant damage, just from high school play presumably, compared to those who had never played football.

Any parent that now lets their son play football is willing committing child abuse. All of the studies that have come out in the last ten years show that repeated hits to the head cause brain damage. So, letting your child play football means you are putting their life on the line.

It is the main reason that the vast majority of football players are black. White parents don’t let their kids play football, but for minorities it is seen as a way out of the hood.

Ditto soccer where “heading” is SOP.

I would have thought that you would see high schools and NCAA ban heading by now. We've known this for a little while. It'll change the game a little but not that much.
