How come we never hear politicians spouting knife control? Seems like people are resorting to all kinds of weapons recently.

They already have it in Britain.It's basically impossible for a law abiding citizen to own a firearm in Britain so there re many,many violent attacks being committed with knives. All you hear about in the British Parliament are debates about new laws to prevent "knife crimes".

And once they ban knives they'll have to ban cricket bats after that.

Actually they did back in the early 1970s. One policeman said “The knife is always loaded!”

It went nowhere as they had better targets (handguns) they were after.
