If you think back to when you were young (or even just back to a few years ago), it's obvious that many things in life that were once for the masses have become a whole lot more expensive. Well, redditor u/Lattethecoffeaddict asked, "What was ruined by rich people?" People had a lot of thoughts because the comments came pouring in, and here's some of what they had to say.
1. "Thrift shopping. I used to thrift a lot, but it's been ruined. I used to be able to go thrifting and come back with three new work shirts and a pair of pants for around $15 (and they were good clothes, too, some with the tags still on them). Now, good luck finding my size at all. Plus, the clothes that are left are all shit, and they want $10 for a shirt now."
3. "Bourbon. Once upon a time, the most expensive bourbon you could possibly find was like $100. Now, with everyone 'collecting' it, the prices have skyrocketed. The secondary market is completely absurd."
4. "Food trucks. They were once a convenient place to get good food for cheap. Now they're expensive and don't offer any of the advantages or comforts of a restaurant. Not to mention that they all expect a 20% tip for handing you food from a window."
5. "Trucks. Once upon a time, they were a humble, working-class vehicle for people who needed to be able to do things themselves. Now they are luxury vehicles with massive margins, which have become unaffordable to anyone who needs them to do real work."

Now that’s a funny visual.
I picture the posters who come out of nowhere thumping their chests and acting rude as tiny little teacup poodles, yapping in high-pitched shrieks and trying to nip at ankles.
I remember at UF the Hare Krishnas serving lunch on the main Plaza outside of the library every afternoon.
First new vehicle I ever bought was a 1980 Chevy C10. Bench seat, three on the column, manual crank windows, etc. $5 Grand. Bought a cap for the truck bed - handy for camping, sleeping off a drinking binge, etc. And I do mean etc.
Going to the mall or movie theater…oh wait, we’re complaining about rich people…..
It’s literally 400 miles long and spends multiple states.
Cousins Lobster TRUCK”S”!
Omigosh, the ALLCAPS person is sending me weird, angry little FReepmails going on about how I’m a “bougie” (I think Antifa uses that phrase) who likes Asian fusion fish tacos (never had one, but I’d try it) and then playing victim.
I thought y’all would get a kick out of it. 😂 We really do have a mental health problem in our country.
I told her to stop with the PMs or I’ll report her @ss for harassment. Good grief.
I think we get quite a few invasions and they are rarely stable.
you’re kidding.
I’ve had 1 guy stalk me from thread to thread to yell at me about my religious beliefs and i did have to report him to make him go away.
Wheelbarrows full of reichsmarks not worth the paper they were printed on. Relatives of my Grandpa Sturm send valueless thousandmark banknotes to him back in the 1920s or 30s for mementos.
Pretty soon we will have thousand=dollar Bidensmarks with the same or less value. Keep your real estate if you can. Its value is uncontested, if you get its price in gold up front.
Holiday cheers mate!
