THat’s what I thought. We don’t have any approved self driving cars yet. Even if it CAN self drive. I just rented a 2023 Kia Soul while I was in Seattle It was able to self drive, at least on the freeway, where there are no “sharp” turns, but if i took my hands off the wheel for too long, it reminded me to put them back on the wheel.

BTW, it was the best car I’ve ever rented, and I’ve rented a lot. In fact, we’re in the market for a new car and I was wondering...

Then I remembered it’s a KIA. Who knows how long it will last? So, never mind...

“Musk is no conservative. He is just more of a supporter of free speech than most liberals.”

He is anti-woke and Anti-union.

He detests the Democrat party.

He is opening up Twitter revealing the FBI connection.

And he has endorsed our greatest conservative for 2024.

Someday self-driving cars will be safer than cars with drivers. Today is not yet that day.

I don’t disagree. A lot of people can’t drive worth a ****.

There are only a few numbers you need to remember about EVs.
36kWh is the energy in a gallon of gas.
95% efficient are electric motors
40% efficient are gasoline engines.

From these 3 numbers, you can easily compare EVs to ICE vehicles

A 45 kWh Tesla is like a car with 3 gallon gas tank. 45kWh / 36 * 95 / 40.
I will be keeping my gas car until someone invents a better battery.

Still trying to figure out “aglitch”. Is that a new engineering term? 😁👍

“EV builders should tell drivers not to use self-driving in snowy conditions.”

What about builders of ICE vehicles?”

See my #30.

Conservative is a relative position, not absolute.

It means different things to different people.

The following is the best guideline to conservatism. Folks, take some time to read and think about it. Conservatism is more a way of thinking than a position.

Plus, you lose 1% charge/day due to phantom power loss. That’s 4 full charges per year.

“I’m going to go buy a Tesla and move to Florida so I can support your boy.”

You don’t have to move to Florida. He will be on the ballot in your state in 2024.

My favorite self-driving vehicle story is what happened when they took an American made vehicle and tested it in Australia.

Apparently the software did not recognize kangaroos as obstacles and kept crashing into them...

“Just what we need on the roads, a car that can go 250mph.”

What would you suggest for the maximum speed of cars on the road?

I appreciate your concern but, quite frankly, I don’t need remember any numbers concerning toy cars.

Per the EV FanBoi world….this EV will get an estimated 400 mile range. Estimation comes from the manufacturer, of course.

But you should only charge the battery to 80%, so your estimated mileage is going to drop by a lot.

And that’s before traffic and cold weather affect it. Then of course, there’s an arctic blast taking over the country, potential loss of electricity.

So the EVFanBois are stuck at home or using a gas generator to charge a battery, defeating the purpose of the GreenEV

Like you, I’ll stick to gas

“40% efficient are gasoline engines.”

30%. And another 10-15% lost in the drive train.

“A 45 kWh Tesla”

There are no 45 kwhr Teslas.

There is no problem charging to full for the occasional time you need the long range.
