Does anyone know actual figures on death benefits/insurance for the current war’s Russian soldiers? Also is there a payment differential for urban Russians or those from the Siberian wastelands and not true Russians? Anyone know the current figure for a dead US soldier? Last I saw a while ago it was $100,000.]

I’ve seen $200K in bits and pieces elsewhere, but this Radio Free Europe link actually mentions this single number. Note that this may not include Wagner and DPR and LPR troops. The Russian Guard may also be handled differently.

I decided to try to find the death benefits at Google. First of all the US benefit is still $100,000. There were 2 figures for Russia. The one at the start of this war and an additional promise several months into this war. I think this was supposed to add up to around $200,000, but with the fluctuating value of the Ruble it was hard to state
accurately in Dollars.

Given the projections listed in Comment #39, if the benefit approaches $200,000, then Russian deaths could be near or around 50,000. Of course, the question for Russians is if these amounts will ever be paid. Families are already complaining that $4,000 sign up bonuses are not being paid. Also what happens with all the Russian dead being abandoned after a fire fight. Are their dog tags collected and turned over to headquarters?? It sucks to be Russian.

No. The are just left were they fell. Many of them are in areas that are under UA fire control - once the shells start raining down - no one is going to stop to collect anything.

These troops are only found after the UA retakes the territory. Whether they turn the info over to the Russians is not known. That is if there is any info to be collected from the shelled corpses.

If you are looking at the Wagner Group convict casualties - don’t bother, they are dead and no one cares who they were. Same deal with the LNR/DNR dead - no one cares. They are only there to die. When one group of 60-80 is killed assaulting through UA artillery fire, another is sent directly behind them. The must assault over the bodies of the recent comrades - if they turn back, they will be executed.

You might want to watch this to see how little care is given - collect the dead’s information? ... hahahahah
