“You don’t understand”
I understand their reasoning, but that doesn’t make their reasoning valid. You can shrug off Russia pursuing an irrational strategy by saying “well, that’s just Russia” but they are still pursuing an irrational strategy.
For example:
“Now, Prigozhin is helping Putin save money and resources by getting rid of low value material (criminals) in an efficient manner, while gaining the benefit of killing Ukrainians troops.”
This still isn’t an actual efficient use of the resources (manpower) that is at their disposal. Just killing a few Ukrainians here and there is a waste, because if they were implementing the tactic properly, they could be killing a lot more Ukrainians AND achieving actual strategic objectives as well. But they’re not, even though they could accomplish that with the exact same resources. Of course that is assuming there actually are any competent officers left in the Russian army who could properly implement a human wave attack. That might be an overestimation on my part.
There is no point in trying to make you understand the Russian point of view, its like culture shock to you apparently. Human life is worth exactly Zero. So from their point of view, it is rational and efficient.
