Scott, was initially sentenced to death for her murder That sentence was overturned in November 2020
Laci (his wife) disappeared aged 27 on Christmas Eve in 2002. She was eight months pregnant with the couple's son and they had been married for five years.
Days after she vanished, her mutilated body washed up on the shore of the San Francisco Bay.
Prosecutors said Peterson wanted to escape married life ( he was having an affair) and did not want the responsibility of becoming a father, so allegedly killed her in their home. He then dumped her body - and that of the baby she was carrying - from his boat.

You don’t need a weapon to convict, since one isn’t always used or found. The weapon could have been strangulation or drowning her in the pool.
Circumstantial Evidence is strong enough evidence.
She wasn’t mutilated, though. He dumped her in the water with weights, one probably attached to her head, legs and arms, and it separated during the decaying process, and the only thing left was her abdomen where the baby expelled. When police asked where he was that day, he immediately pulled out the parking ticket for the bay, and told them, I can prove I was there. Glad there will no second trial, with the way they’re releasing monsters these days. He might not ever do something like that, again, but he should only leave prison in a pine box.
I think the man is gutless and heartless....
Lets say he didn’t do it....my gosh his behavior and actions were enough to wonder about him from the get go. The guy was continuing his affair while they’re searching for his wife and child....and the list could go on.
He pretended to be calling from Paris on New Year’s Eve to the woman he was dating, at his wife’s vigil. Like Chris Watts, Christopher Coleman, and several others in the past, he’s not the first to off his wife and kids to start a new life with someone else, and avoid a messy divorce and child support.
I think all these high profile scum bags, get lots of fan mail, quite literally, from all over the world. San Quentin’s death row, is about the safest place in the state. Since he has been taken off death row, who knows where he is now, but more than likely, he will be in Ad/Seg for the duration. He will be safe, from all the other inmates.
Only he landed in prison where he belongs.
I thought he was 200% guilty, but and I heard some of the evidence that was not allowed in the trial I had a different perspective. He probably should get a new trial where all the evidence is allowed. The government shouldn’t be able to prevent valid exculpatory evidence from being heard by the jury.
This guy would create additional evidence when you consider how the evidence that got him convictd showed how he did it in the first place.
If he was a she and her had husband disappeared. She would be free today.....,
can somebody mention kasey Anthony please...
Unlike Kasey ..He (scott) had a tinge of soul left in him somewhere, thats why he got caught.
If you had a single witness to someone shooting an unknown person on a bridge and then tossing the gun and shoving the body over the edge, the lack of a motive or body or weapon or even any forensic evidence would be no bar to conviction -- assuming that a jury and reviewing judges found the witness sufficiently credible.
Many of us would not meet that standard, but if Cardinal Dolan saw it done on the Brooklyn Bridge, most New York juries would convict after less than an hour of deliberations -- and the conviction would stand.
His girlfriend, Amber Frey, worked with the police and taped incriminating statements. Those are hard circumstances for the jury to ignore. She also testified for the prosecution about his statements. An admission is not hearsay.
That's pretty much a guarantee.
Who was the witness in this case?
You have to admit his features are objectively handsome, if you did not know what lay ahead. It’s a warning that looks can be quite deceptive.
I forgot about this. Yes this is evidence all right.
