He seems all caught up in finding comfort from the idea that a flat earth somehow proves that we are not insignificant, because God is "closer" to us.... I see that view as putting God in a box and making Him smaller. I'm just the opposite. I find that the inexplicable grandeur of God's entire cosmic creation PLUS the fact that He sees each and every one of us down to the sub-atomic details speaks more to an omnipotent, omniscient God than the pathetic weak flerfer view does.
I really think this is what's going on, though, and that it's too bad when well-meaning "influencers" let themselves get caught up in it:
