In the course of my day, I see this grossly overweight guy, maybe five six, probably 275 plus, go outside to have a smoke. He is overweight, is on his way to becoming diabetic and smokes to boot. I want so much to give him some advice, but do you think he would listen, much less take any advice? I doubt it...
1- every time i see grotesquely over weight people i wonder how anyone could let themselves go like that.
2- in August i voted in the NY primaries. It was me and 8 poll workers at night. One of the poll workers was a 300Lb overweight guy in his 60’s. He’s talking to a worker on the other side of the room and says, “I betcha we’ll be getting a 5th covid shot soon!” No ability to think for himself, no reasoning- they were going to tell him to get another shot and he was going to take his 300lb body and get injected. I laughed and had to restrain myself from saying, “I haven’t gotten a single shot yet- feel free to take my five!!”
Back in 1982 I had a physical before I went to work at a meat packing plant. The doctor weighed about 275/300 and was smoking while giving me my physical. Aaahh, the good old days.
He probably wears a mask to keep from getting COVID. :) I see lots of obese people with their masks on.
