How is anything that uses any resources technically Net Zero when it comes to carbon?

It isn’t.
It’s a scam.

The stupid burns.
This is the same as saying, “I spent 10,000 dollars on this credit card but it didn’t cost anything because I transferred it to another credit card before the balance was due.”
We are ruled by complete idiots. Genuinely stupid ignorant idiots.

Vegetable oil needs petroleum based fertilizer for a decent sized harvest.

Astonishing, the vast amounts of money, manufacturing, talent, and brainpower expended to "solve" imaginary problems.
While real problems, such as the migrant invasions, are ignored.

Why would burning cooking oil produce any less carbon than burning diesel fuel?

The theory is that since the oil’s carbon came from plants, the carbon was already in the atmosphere and is returning to be used by plants again, so the net increase is zero...............

Boeing 787 flight is expected to be fuelled by 100 percent SAF made primarily from waste oils and fats, such as used cooking oil. I will guess it took 150 units of fossil fuel energy to produce 100 units of waste-food oil, when calculated from beginning to end.
Ie) a waste of energy and terrible investment.
