I liked the effects in the first movie, particularly the nighttime luminescent plants and creatures. But the story didn’t to much for me.

Some 3-D movies are better than others. Compare Avatar to Prison Girls in 3-D. I don't know about you, but Prison Girls in 3-D has that hard to pin down je ne sais quoi which sets it apart from the crowd, that intangible magic which comes together once in a blue moon; Avatar? Meh.
