I remember when Katrina hit and the government put up a lot of people in hotels for months after. Almost all the hotels had to be gutted and rebuilt after, they were trashed so badly that they couldn’t be opened again until they were remodeled. I can’t imagine how badly a bunch of homeless people would trash a hotel.
To get rid of the bedbugs and lice and roaches, they are going to have to burn it all down.
