A Chicago-area high school “literacy coach” recently recorded a video of herself in which she admits to indoctrinating the students in her charge.
Fox News reports Crete-Monee High’s Heather Marie Godbout (pictured), a member of the school’s Equity Team, also rips “right-wing conspiracy theorist nut jobs” in her video and notes she is opposed to traditional grading policies — because grades get “conflated with other things that aren’t actually learning, like effort or ‘work ethic,’ whatever that means.”
“All you right wing conspiracy theory nut jobs who seem to think the teachers are out here just indoctrinating children into some sort of woke agenda that you can’t actually define, I’m just going to come clean,” Godbout says. “I am, in fact, indoctrinating your children.”
“I’m indoctrinating children into understanding their own agency and learning how to think critically about the issues that impact their lives… I am indoctrinating children into wanting to be productive citizens of the world… So that’s what I’m doing. I’m indoctrinating them. You’re 100% right.”

Much like other urban systems, Chicago public schools are an utter failure. Chicago kids can’t read, write or do math. The entire school system is a refuge for the over paid incompetent. Not to mention the union just got a two year Covid paid vacation.
Defund public schools NOW! We have to burn the village to save it.
To an “educator”, any argument consisting of logic, intelligence, and facts is considered right-wing, since these poor fools only hang around with fellow bottom of the SAT clowns and are not used to being criticized by their superiors.
Retired school teachers (not educators) must hurl when they see how low these modern day idiots have brought the teaching profession. Thankfully, I had school teachers, not eddikatorz, and I’ve done well because of them.
Vouchers. Public school teachers can compete for students or public schools will go under.

There’s only one way to teach kids to think for themselves, and that’s to give them some control over the classroom and what they should be learning, or at least let them stand up and say what they think, and let the class comment freely.
I went to grades 7 through 12 at a demonstration school for a teachers’ college, and often there would be a group of about 20 college students sitting in the back of the room watching the demonstration. We actually saw education professors demonstrating to their college students how you get kids to think for themselves.
If we read a paper in front of the class, there would be comments from the class members, and we could call on them and try to give an answer. The profs just sat back and watched the whole process without interfering, satisfied that their college students were getting the idea of how it’s done.
Only later did I realize the benefits of this kind of teaching in the outside world.
Yep. Many’s the time I’ve thanked my lucky stars for my excellent education and the devoted teachers who made it possible. It was a modest rural school system, and it wasn’t until I went off to college that I realized how good it was. I remember every single one of my teachers — most of them fondly — and even much of what they taught me.

This is why it should be a Felony for any public employee to send their children to any school other than the Public School System.

People such as this should be kept far, far, away from any children. I can’t believe how parents can see repeated videos of these cretins loudly bragging on the way they abuse children, and parents still send their children to school to be abused further.

I am not sure she even understands what she’s taking about!
After reading the article, My impression is that she just spouts canned answers. Another example of the lack of education of an education graduate.
Our kids are in their 30s, so these days are way behind us now. But if I had kids in public school, they would NEVER be taught by any person who goes on any social media to act like this cretin does.
That’s presuming I’d even keep our kids in public schools these days.
