So then why did W.A. Parish and Oak Grove Coal plants shut down during the freeze?
Considering that ERCOT’s renewable power generation is 34% for 2022, which is up from 28% in February 2021, I expect to see another grid failure. Renewables as a rule of thumb should not be more than 15% of any given electrical grid.
Two coal plants had to shut down because of it as well as one nuclear reactor. Easy to look that up.

If they did not correct this insulation problem after having 2 years to prepare after 2020's debacle then that would be outrageous.
