Those are really nice. :-)
Thanks, I took a sabbatical from FreeRepublic awhile back and I forgot how to post pics. I have re-upped the HTML Bootcamp but missed the phot posting instructions.
Hi there! We will all enjoy the trip back to longer daylight hours. The hubby and me joke about how it is so dark in the early evening, like 5:30, that “it’s time for bed”. š It looks like midnight so early.
I hope the weather is not too horrible starting tomorrow. The 40-50mph wind always concerns us, with so many in my family having double-poly covered greenhouses. Wind es no bueno. š¬
Have a Merry Christmas!
Just passing along information that someone shared with me on Freep years ago. Glad it worked for you.
I also use this site for free posting of graphics and photos:
You did get it all in the image. It didn’t show that
way at first on my screen. Now is does. My bad.
My screen as well - at first the image cut off at “white onion” - now it displays correctly.
Feels like winter here now! Brrrr!
I happened to find a praying mantis egg case on a tomato plant that was headed to the compost pile. A bit of Elmer’s Glue and it’s now safely spending the winter on an oleander. I love having them around, but they’ll gladly prey on beneficial as well as nasty bugs. Last year I had one in a lantana favored by the local little yellow butterflies. At the end of summer the ground around its pit was littered with disembodied yellow wings.
If I can make it to December 21st, I can make it through the winter. Daylight is VERY important to we Leos. :)
And Beau is 6'3" - all my TALL girlfriends hate me. ;)
He's my 'Bumble.' Good for reaching down things for me and putting the star on the Christmas Tree without a ladder. :)
We’re looking at 50 MPH winds for Southern Wisconsin - I guess they slow down some once they head your way! ;)
Bitterly cold - this afternoon we fluffed up a few dog boxes and everyone has fresh water and they’ll be getting a warm supper tonight. The steer & the mule, too! :)
Then we’re ALL hunkering in for a few days. Ugh. At least our snow totals are going to be lower than predicted. I can live with that.
Nature IS brutal - I’ll give you that! I saw one a few years ago, but I don’t find them very often.
These are all so cute. Thanks for posting.
Thank you. If the photos had been more clear, you mightāve been able to see more detail. I think in part I was wishing I had a grandchild when I first started. All my friends had several, so I just made fairy gardens to absorb my urge to be a Grandma. Finally finally I became a grandma 21 months ago. Grandson is the cutest little thing, and he has finally learned how to say āgrandmaā and āgrandpaā pretty well. I canāt wait till I can have him visit for several days all by himself. I think he and I (and Grandpa) will have a lot of fun together. Not that his parents arenāt terrific, but Iād like to be able to focus on just him sometime.
I pictured you as a little taller than me for some reason. I bet your tall friends are jealous, too! My husband has to use a step stool to get our angel topper up there. That was cute that you called Beau your āBumbleā. Made me remember the tamed beast from Rudolph.
Thanks for the reminder of which onions to use. I mostly use sweet, red, and shallots the most.
Iām glad you enjoyed them!
