One must remember that words mean things. I never use the word “fair” when speaking of “just”, or “justice”. The word fair has seven definitions in Webster’s dictionary. Only one means just and is listed well down the list of definitions, the first definition is the most common use of the word.
Fair is often used for something resembling a close facsimile to the intent.
This is why they are called fairs, lots of flash but no winners of the games of chance....
