The FBI has identified the deceased woman who was found wrapped in a trash bag off Florida's Gulf Coast last weekend and are now calling her death "suspicious."
Heather Rose Strickland, 34, was the woman who was found floating Saturday off Egmont Key at the mouth of Tampa Bay, the FBI’s Tampa Field Office said.
"Heather Rose Strickland was last seen on December 5, 2022, leaving HCA Florida Largo Hospital at 201 14th Street Southwest in Largo, Florida," the bureau said. "Originally from the North Florida region, Strickland spent the last five years in the Clearwater-St. Petersburg area."
"The FBI is asking the public to assist with any information that helps law enforcement piece together the events that led to Strickland’s death," it added. \
Witnesses said they were spearfishing when they went for a dive. As they headed to the next spot, they found the trash bag. They tried to pick it up but quickly realized it was not trash.
The U.S. Coast Guard confirmed to FOX 13 that the body of a woman was found wrapped in a plastic trash bag off the coast of Egmont Key, Florida, around 12:40 p.m. Saturday. "The body was found wrapped in bedding in a plastic trash bag," the FBI said, noting the discovery happened 13 miles off the coast.

Captains obvious.
Was it the garbage bag that gave it away?
Suspicious? How so? She was probably just dumping her trash in the Gulf of Mexico when she tweeted something the FBI didn’t like.
Yeah, I wonder what was their first clue?
ya the garbage bag was a dead give away boys!! you all deserve medals!!
Woman found dead in trash bag is suspicious? Who announced this, was it Capt. Obvious?
Found in a trash bag and her death is “suspicious.”
Brilliant, FBI.. simply brilliant.
Why is the FBI involved?
Nothing gets by the FBI...
At least they didn’t determine that it was Arkancide...err...I mean suicide.
According to the article:
“The FBI is the lead agency looking into the incident since the body was found in federal waters.”
Nah. It was that it was floating in the Gulf.
Nothing says ‘’suspicious’’ like that.
Lousy reporting. Said she was last seen leaving a hospital. Was she a patient.? Was she a nurse? Was she a visitor?
If they id’d her, they would know her address. Was she from Largo? Her body was found a long way from Largo. Was she from St. Pete?
The FBI has STUPID and EVIL PEOPLE in it!!
Scientology strikes again
Four decades ago, the Church of Scientology began planning to take over the city of Clearwater, Florida by infiltrating local government and other influential non-government entities in the city. Now it appears that the Church’s plan has come to fruition.
With control over more than a quarter billion dollars of real estate in the downtown area, Scientology has the largest influence on city officials in regards to development.
Scientology’s presence has for decades casted a shadow over Clearwater, and has led to the city being known for its geographic concentration of Scientology rather than its miles of pristine beaches.
This article is intended to summarize the sordid history of the relationship between the city of Clearwater and the Church of Scientology.
The plan was called Project Normandy, and the stated purpose was to “obtain enough data on the Clearwater area to be able to determine what groups and individuals [we] will need to penetrate and handle in order to establish area control.”
Among other clandestine activities discovered by the FBI, the Church also plotted to take control of local media and smear critics of Scientology.
What’s so suspicious about it?
LOL
So the Church of Satanology was just using the FBI playbook?
