The best Christmas song from the 80's, and better than that damn Mariah Carey.

This song first appeared on a complilation album called "A Christmas Record", which was put out by NYC based ZE Records back in 1981. In later reissues, the album may be titled "Ze Christmas Record."

Anyway, there were a lot of other great original tracks on that album, including "Things Fall Apart" by Cristina and "It's a Big Country" by Davitt Sigerson.

I'm a big collector of Christmas music and I especially like Christmas albums that feature original music, as opposed to the same old songs re-recorded over and over again.

Love the 80’s - In fact, I wish they never ended. Interesting, the Waitresses said - Merry Christmas. Few say that anymore.

I actually listen to the 24 hour Christmas song radio station, and they never play this song.

To quote John Lennon, "I'm a Loser".

Back in the early 80s I saw them in a little club in New York. The band was on fire. The sax player looked like he had the time of his life. By the end of the show, the lead singer was three sheets to the wind.

In the early 80s KROQ in LA played this every Christmas season. I remember hearing it on the radio all the time when I was driving on the 101 downtown to Tommy Burgers

The Christmas Wrappings video is overdubbed on the I Know What Boys Like video. I always found the plain girl singer very sexy. I think it was how she rocked her hips. She sold it well.
