Why is it that when someone is killed, their relatives are always the ones who are on TV or in the “media” claiming they “forgive” the murderer? Doesn’t make sense to me. I’d let God forgive him and I’d help arrange the meeting.

This was such a weird case. I'd read that he had 18 years in and was a full Gunny.
The guy just snapped, raped and murdered this girl, then immediately tried to kill himself, and by all accounts was crushed with remorse and sorrow for every day he was in prison up until his final words.
What causes people to just snap like that?
