SOCK IT TO THEM, DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY AND ANSWERS
December 6, 2016 is a day that changed our family forever. On that day my Grandson, Larry Paul did not wake up and the scream of a parent who has lost their child will be forever etched in my memory. I will never forget my Daughter In Law coming in the kitchen after being questioned by the authorities and freezing in mid step to say, “What if it was the DTaP shot I gave him.” At the time I just wrapped my arms around her and said, “It was nothing you did.”
Since that time, we have been searching for answers and an explanation for his death. The autopsy listed the cause of death as “undetermined.” When I spoke with the Medical Examiner he told me it was a classic case of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), but would not be counted or listed as such because Larry Paul was 14 Months old and no longer classified as an infant. It took months before I discovered the classification for his death was Sudden Unexplained Death of a Child (SUDC).
According to the SUDC Foundation, 236 children ages 1 through 4 years died unexpectedly in 2016. The data from the CDC regarding SIDS cases states there were about 3,700 sudden unexpected infant deaths (SUID) in the United States. These deaths occur among infants less than 1 year old and have no immediately obvious cause. (Most recent data available was from 2015 and linked here, https://www.cdc.gov/sids/data.htm ). The 2 groups combined totals almost 4,000 cases per year making it the leading cause of postneonatal mortality in the United States.
The topic has been studied by many doctors, scientists and pathologists. They have learned a great deal about it and have begun to see commonalities in the cases studied. Hannah C. Kinney is one of the leading experts and has extensively studied the brains of children and infants who die suddenly. She has been involved with studies that prove there is involvement of the hippocampus and brainstem circuits. One study states, “Approximately two-thirds of SUDC cases with hippocampal pathology have a personal and/or family history of febrile seizures, suggesting that such seizures are a risk factor for sudden death in this circumstance.” (1) There are other factors noted including brainstem neurotransmitter defects, Cardiac abnormalities, and abnormalities in the Serotonin Network.
The study referenced above lists the Environmental (Extrinsic) Factors as, “Extrinsic factors associated with increased SIDS risk include prone and side sleep position, soft sleep surface and soft bedding over or under the infant, head or face covered during sleep, excess thermal insulation, bed sharing, and postnatal smoke exposure.” These are concerns that have led to the “Back to Sleep Campaign” which promotes putting babies to sleep on their back versus their tummy. One Environmental factor that is conspicuously missing is “Has the infant been recently vaccinated?”
When searching through the VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System) database for serious adverse events including death for the year 2016, 108 reports come up. 44 of them are DEATHS. Read the results for yourself here, https://wonder.cdc.gov/controller/saved/D8/D27F676 (2) Considering that according to the CDC estimates of cases reported to VAERS are between 1 and 10% of the actual events that occur. The numbers of children severely injured are staggering. Vaccine reactions are not rare. So, why are they not being investigated by the leading SIDS/SUDC Experts; why are they not listed as one of the Environmental Factors in these deaths?
I found the answer to that in the Court Case that was recently settled in the United States Court of Federal Claims July 10. 2017 and linked here, https://ecf.cofc.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin/show_public_doc?2013vv0611-73-0 (3) The case is important because through the testimony of expert witnesses and evidence submitted it was determined by the Special Master/Judge, Thomas L. Gowen, “In this case, I have concluded, after review of the evidence, that it is more likely than not that the vaccines played a substantial causal role in the death of J.B. without the effect of which he would not have died.”
I noticed on page 24 of the document it states in most cases a complete neuropathological autopsy is not done. I also noticed on page 28 the statement that the Kinney team has not studied the relationship between vaccinations and SIDS. More importantly on page 35, “Dr. Miller testified to a conversation that he had with Dr. Kinney who told him that she did not want to study vaccines because she did not want to testify and did not want to be involved in vaccine controversies.” Dr. Kinney is one of the PRIMARY EXPERTS in SIDS/SUDC deaths and apparently not the only scientist taking this position. This is an example of outright bias. Parents should be outraged because the experts place all of the blame on them while ignoring the Environmental factor they recommend we inject into our precious babies.
It is time to hold their feet to the fire and demand that the CDC and the other entities that promote the safe sleep campaign and dangerous immunizations also warn parents that vaccines can and do cause death and injury. It is time for them to accept their part of the blame and quit shifting it to the parents.
In honor of Larry Paul and all the other babies who have died, it is time to “Sock it to them and demand accountability and answers.” I have a few common-sense ideas to help us begin to understand the problem and reduce the deaths of infants and children. To begin with we could require Medical Examiners to report to VAERS when there is a death of a vaccinated child. When there is an unexplained death steps are automatically taken to “investigate the death.” In each case the Medical Examiner should be requesting a copy of the child’s Medical Records which will include his/her immunization records. They are the most qualified professional to provide a medical description of what has transpired with the death. They do not have a financial interest or profit from Vaccines. Within one year we could significantly improve the statistics in the VAERS database and get much closer to solving the mysterious deaths of our precious children.
