The Salvation Army really screwed the pooch last year with their "Let's Talk About Racism" guide asking white donors to offer a “sincere apology” for their racism.
It was quickly withdrawn but the damage was done.
Who knew at the time that the Salvation Army was funding an International Social Justice Commission?
Nobody did. Now we all do and people are just walking past the kettle.
Go woke, go broke.
I recall some Salvation Army figure (I don't recall if he was their top guy or someone at a lower rank) blasting President Trump before the 2020 election. It made me disinclined to give them money.
Charities should know better than to alienate half or more of their potential donors.
