What a tremendous Game! First OT Game!
Air Force beat both Army and Navy this year, winning the CIC trophy.
Honestly, both teams were terrible, probably collectively, the worst two teams fielded for this game in the past 20 years. We, on the other hand, took the CinC back this year and are sitting on 9-3 with the Armed Forces Bowl coming up. That said, Air Force should be asking themselves how our games with these two were as close as they were.

I read a story today that NIL payments and the transfer portal are making the service academies far less competitive than before in Div 1 sports. And this was confirmed by the coaches.
I can see where they may wind up playing Div III.

I know. I made myself misunderstood. The winning of the CIC trophy is nothing more than just a reason to celebrate for football. For the commanding generals that go to the club, it means drinks and promotion possibilities with the “prestige” their troops get them. Notoriety.
