It depends on the severity of the break.
Several years ago I slipped on ice and landed hard, sustaining a hairline fracture of the coccyx. There was no medical procedure for that; just pain meds and PT. VERY uncomfortable and awkward injury. It resolved in about 10 - 12 weeks.
Not unless the x-rays revealed a small bone chip that needs removal. Otherwise, nothing for a bruised ‘tailbone’. I’ve had several, and time will heal it.
