EXCERPTS OF THE ARTICLE:

"A recent study by UC Berkeley revealed that over half of the residents of California are looking into moving."

SNIP

"To complicate the matter, state legislators in California are now discussing retroactive taxes as well as an exit tax for rich residents of the state who leave California for another state. AB2088 doesn’t only seek to create a wealth tax in California but also force rich old California residents to pay the tax for nearly 10 years after they’ve left. "

SNIP

"Others mentioned that they feel that their votes in California don’t count while others still complain that politicians focus on the needs of large cities while leaving the needs and wishes of residents of rural areas unattended. COVID-19 restrictions in the state have placed an extra strain on residents. 19 percent of California workers had filed for unemployment as of April 2020.

Even though some industries have resumed operation, others are affected by continued restrictions. Restricted businesses include gyms, restaurants, personal care services, bars, hospitality, and the tourism industry. Other states don’t have so many COVID-19-related lockdowns as California does, which causes many business owners to seriously look into leaving the state to another one where they have hope of attaining success in their business."

SNIP

"The average cost of real estate in California is a huge $600,000. And the latest data from Zillow shows that the median rent in California in mid-2020 is at $2,800 over the national average of $1,600. Simply put, if you are not wealthy or ready to live with friends or relatives, you truly cannot afford to reside in the state. "

I really think Gavin Newsom wants citizens to leave in order to sell property to his handlers in China and permanently locate gangs/enforcers imported from the state's open borders with Mexico.

I lived in California for 22 years, then left due to 1) taxes, 2) cost of living, 3) homelessness, 4) feeling that the government is not a friend of white, middle-class citizens. San Francisco, once a lovely city, is now a crime, needles and feces ridden city.

“In order to sell property to his handlers in China”

I have believed in a scheme like that for a long time. Basically, crash the market and allow the cronies to pick up massive chunks of prime real estate for cheap

Looks like some of those leaving California are either idiots or masochists. Trading California for Oregon or Washington seems misguided.

A recent study by UC Berkeley revealed that over half of the residents of California are looking into moving.

Did the recent study by UC Berkeley also ask/reveal how many of those folks voted for the current state of affairs? I’m going with NO, but I could be wrong.

Come to WA, don’t go to Idaho, because that is where I am planning to go.

I am a firm believer in keeping DEMOCRATS (and their sub parties) IN the state they voted for..

Otherwise they will continue to vote for the same crap. it’s what they do.

conservatives are free (and encouraged) to leave the state of CA as soon as possible.

Why? For the rich, white liberals that lent a helping hands to turn California into what it is now, Oregon and Washington are perfect.

When I leave California I'm moving to North Dakota.

The weather is so miserable and the scenery so bland that as long as I stay away from Fargo I'll be relatively safe from liberals.

I’d be curious as to the constitutionity of taxes imposed that make it more difficult to move to another state. Bet it wouldn’t pass muster.

Interesting. I assumed they were moving out of California so they could destroy Texas. 🫤

Other reasons to leave California:

1. Bad football.
2. Liberal, work avoiding women.
3. Christianity is practically outlawed in many places.
4. Running out of water, shocker I know after millions of people moved to a state that's 1/3rd desert.
5. They talk funny.
6. They don't know how to keep the power running, all while they make power bills increase.

Honestly, if the cost of living weren’t so high, I’d move there.

How about this?

“ SAN FRANCISCO – While millions of California families struggled financially in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, Pacific Gas & Electric’s CEO made over $50 million for leading the reviled utility with a history of bad investments and punitive energy bills.”

. . and, unfortunately, into Oregon. Our incoming Governor is from California. Oregon's Attorney General Rosenbaum is another Californian.

I'm a native Oregonian. I once went to a dinner party with 23 people. Only three of us were born in Oregon. Oregon is another state overrun by aliens.

Don't even have to look as far as China - there are plenty of big property developers in CA who stand to profit handsomely from (and make hefty campaign contributions to) politicians who can drive all of those pesky old small building owners out of the big cities and clear the way for massive redevelopment projects.
