Mine seem to drink plenty of water. They also each get half a can of decent food a day and at will access to what I am led to believe is also decent dry food but that is mostly just carbs. The industrious ones eat gophers, mice, rats, snakes and birds if they can catch them. They really aren’t that good with birds. I feed the same as my sister who has cats 18 or more years old and whose husband is a vet.
With 9, people keep dumping them at my front gate and I won’t take them to the pound, I can just afford more than the more than $2,000 a year I spend on them.
There is not a no kill shelter around here and nobody wants cats. They have already been rejected once so I am stuck with them to neuter, feed and vaccinate.
I can’t accept any more and don’t like what has to come next.
The people who dump animals are not human and they make me hate everyone who drives by on the highway because I know one of them is guilty.
You are doing a wonderful thing. If you can physically cope with all of them and need any financial help, you might consider setting up a NP or go fund me account and see what you get.
