I’m sitting up in the upper deck Ueker seats way down the left field line in the concrete jungle...the old astro turfed cardinal stadium...maybe Bush Stadium II ? cards had all those baltimore chop hitters who could run like the devil.
I am the only Cubbie blue hat sourrounded by a sea of red.
I stand up, turn to the crowd and in a loud foghorn voice yell “What the hell are all you cardinal fans doing at a Cub game?”.
Lotta accidents happened in that section that day...lotta guys droppin beers,popcorn,peanuts. And the
guys in front of me were really tall...i ended up not really seeing the game .
At least they were Cardinal fans. If they had been Phillies fans you might not have survived.
