Some are saying Baker made all of the internal Twatter comms relating to the FIBs involvement in tanking info about Hunter’s laptop was not only “vetted and filtered” by Baker on Friday, but actually he deleted that data before it could be handed off to Taibbi. Is it gone, or will it be found and released?
Perhaps of interest.

THREAD: Twitter Files Supplemental
On Friday, the first installment of the Twitter files was published here. We expected to publish more over the weekend. Many wondered why there was a delay.
We can now tell you part of the reason why. On Tuesday, Twitter Deputy General Counsel (and former FBI General Counsel) Jim Baker was fired. Among the reasons? Vetting the first batch of “Twitter Files” – without knowledge of new management.

I need to be playing catch-up in festival. But it just makes me wonder if a New Q Drop isn’t in the offing.

The process for producing the “Twitter Files” involved delivery to two journalists (Bari Weiss and me) via a lawyer close to new management. However, after the initial batch, things became complicated.
Over the weekend, while we both dealt with obstacles to new searches, it was @bariweiss who discovered that the person in charge of releasing the files was someone named Jim. When she called to ask “Jim’s” last name, the answer came back: “Jim Baker.”
“My jaw hit the floor,” says Weiss.
The first batch of files both reporters received was marked, “Spectra Baker Emails.”
Baker is a controversial figure. He has been something of a Zelig of FBI controversies dating back to 2016, from the Steele Dossier to the Alfa-Server mess. He resigned in 2018 after an investigation into leaks to the press.
The news that Baker was reviewing the “Twitter files” surprised everyone involved, to say the least. New Twitter chief Elon Musk acted quickly to “exit” Baker Tuesday.
Reporters resumed searches through Twitter Files material – a lot of it – today. The next installment of “The Twitter Files” will appear . Stay tuned.
Once they get done taking care of business down there....we should invite them up for a little "vacation".
Thank you, bitt. Good info at start from RN on depopulation. Dang! Very scary!
.
I’ll wait for the 117 ;-p

Elon Musk fires Twitter deputy general counsel Jim Baker amid Hunter Biden laptop fallout

Elon Musk said that Twitter’s former Deputy General Counsel Jim Baker was “exited” from the company on Tuesday after revelations about his role in the platform’s handling of the Hunter Biden laptop story.
Baker was involved in discussions about whether the laptop falls under Twitter’s “hacked materials” policy.
“I support the conclusion that we need more facts to assess whether the materials were hacked,” Baker wrote in one email chain. “At this stage, however, it’s reasonable for us to assume that they may have been and that caution is warranted.”

‘Shark Week’ blasted for ‘overwhelmingly’ featuring ‘White men’ as shark experts in Washington Post report.

The Washington Post published a report Monday slamming Discovery Channel’s “Shark Week” programming for featuring too many White males as shark experts and continuing to peddle “negative messages” about sharks. The report highlighted a study done by the Public Library of Science led by Allegheny College biology professor Lisa Whitenack. The project observed that “Discovery’s programming emphasized negative messages about sharks, lacked useful messaging about shark conservation and overwhelmingly featured White men as experts — including several with the same name.”
Look like they may still have it, despite Mr. B going through it; a quote from the threadreaderapp link:
