An English teacher proudly hates the English language: Insists that grammar and writing rules are based in white supremacy so she tries to undermine it in her classroom

This is why America’s best days are behind her. If we let our kids in the public schools, we are part of the problem. We need to homeschool and run for school board locally. When my first set of kids (marriage #1), we let them in the public school. Now we are homeschooling. We need to take back our schools

Well, as an educator... She IS part of the problem. Just not in the way she thinks.

Spelling is hard.

As an intelligent, well-educated person, you have undoubtedly read many hundreds of books over the course of your lifetime, as well as countless scientific articles, etc.

Wouldn't you agree that reading is the best way to sharpen your spelling skills?

Plus inconsistent because other languages may classify objects in a different gender and so often people who learned a prior language with gender got confused.

I studied Russian while a student in Germany. The language of instruction was, of course, German. And yet I had no problem with confusing genders. The genus of 90% of all Russian nouns can be identified at first glance, by looking at the word ending (in the Nominative Case).

Then to ice the cake, pronunciation is based on tone

Everything you're saying is from the parochial standpoint of an Anglophone.

For a Chinese, English is difficult precisely because it lacks tone.

Yes. Reading is good for both spelling and vocabulary. I always did well on standardized tests because I read a lot as a kid.

Chinese is difficult because it has NO ALPHABET, NO STRUCTURE...IT’S PICTURES OF WHAT THEY ARE TRYING TO SAY.

If I’m wrong about that, please let me know.

I have found some, particularly “Das Boot” about German submariners in WWII, that is fascinating to watch in the native German with the subtitles under it.

Recently (a month ago) watched it (the 1980 version) in German, with German subtitles (for enhanced comprehension - esp. Semmelrogge nuschelt most of his lines).

Learned two new idiomatic expressions (probably restricted to WWII German submarine crews): Schweißmauken and Phenolnutten.

None of my contemporary German friends recognized the words.

For a Chinese, English is difficult because THERE'S AN ALPHABET, A STRUCTURE YOU ARE REQUIRED TO ADHERE TO, AND NO PICTURES!

German is an interesting language-I had a friend explain it by saying the German terms for things are sometimes close descriptions of functionally what the word actually does.

He said, for example, that “winshield wipers” translates to something like “drizzleflippen” (LOL, I don’t know if that is real or just a dumbed down explanation he gave for me)

So I imagine there are a lot of German words that have that characteristic or something along those lines.

RE: Mandarin Chinese is the simplest language

Simplest in the structural sense. But the master the 4 tones and to learn the thousands of characters ( and combinations of characters ) takes YEARS of intense learning and actually daily living and conversing with natives.

I know, I speak Mandarin and can reasonably converse with any Chinese. I can even write their characters. However, I am not even close to being called literate in the ordinary sense of the word.

This is true. It is whatever linguistic system you’re raised to which your mind “tunes in”.

As I don my flame suit, I will say that the promotion of women into positions of influence seems to be both correlation and causation.

Accountability and reason. It’s not their bag.

Everyone is going to cite their exceptions, and thus proving the general rule.

The 14th, 17th, and 19th Amendments really took the tracks out from under the tank.

The issue with the accountability/reason doom loop gets back to Bonhoffer’s theory of stupidity. Add the Karen element, and that stupidity is weaponized.

And when they are proven wrong, they deflect and move on, no one raindrop blaming itself for the flood.

Have at it.

Appropriate for this "teacher."

My best college professor told us, “When words lose their specificity, they lose their meaning.” Same applies to grammar.

The beauty and complexity of English is unique among languages, as the British Isles were variously conquered over a 1000+ years, but no single language fully replaced the others. As such the language is layered, vibrant, complex, and enables specificity unlike any other language.

Is there any other race of people more suicidal than guilt ridden marxist indoctrinated whites? And how fast it changed. No one cared when I was growing up. Now. Academia is filled with self hating whites and white Nations are scrambling to eliminate the natives and replace them with third world violent “people of color.” Be proud of what white civilization has accomplished. There is a reason immigration is one way.
