More trivia: "Largent" is derived from the French "l'argent" (literally, "the money").

He was on the money with his catches, as well as a decent fiscal conservative.

I once spoke to Steve when he was keynoting a pro life event. We speculated whether if he ran for President he could win Washington state. We both thought so :)

Bud Wilkinson, former OU coach, once ran for the Senate if my memory is correct. I think somehow the Sooner State voters didn’t transfer his coaching success into votes. Oh, well!
