I hate anonymous snitches. At my previous employer, I had someone rat me out for not wearing a mask going to and from the men’s room. There was less than 30 feet I had to wear the mask (from my office to the office suite exit), and I didn’t even pass occupied offices on my route.
That’s ridiculous.
I’m so glad I’m remote now. No HR BS.
In such situations, take the fifth.
I’ve got very obedient family members who made me put on a mask when we walked into a restaurant. Our table was ten feet from the door and took 1.3 seconds to walk to it. I was then allowed to remove my mask.
Many just got probation or community service for that but it could have been worse. 😁
People are often rotten. I used to walk on my lunch hour at the university library, 99% outside but if the MI weather was freezing hail like pellets blowing across black ice sidewalks driven by 40 mph winds I walked inside.
So a nerd student made a written complaint to the head of the library that my "clothes made a rubbing sound as I walked past him and bothered his studying." I was reprimanded (!) by the angry black woman acting library head who later became my supervisor. Tough luck for me.
