No, he did not. I've read his books and seen photographs of the erosion. It is NOT flood erosion. The pits are on the TOPS of the structures, not the bases.

I’m not referring to pits, I’m referring to the deep vertical channels which are a hallmark of flood erosion constrained in hard bedrock channels. He ignored that fact completely.
