I feel bad for the family, but the coyote is probably hungry..After all, between humans and fire on their turf ,it is getting harder for them to find food....

coyote was most likely rabid- healthy ones don’t have trouble finding food- even in cities- some parks near cities have packs that live there- you can hear them howling and yipping at night- also0- it isn’t their turf- God created the world for animals AND mankind

I lived NW of there for many years. A moe rural area, but the coyotes I sometimes saw in the morning were fairly well fed.

Lots of rat dogs I suppose, like the neighbor that left theirs out to bark most of the night. Gone in the morning. They tried to insinuate I had something to do with it.
