“rules based international order”

I agree with what you’re saying, but what the hell is a “rules based international order” ??? Is it that we get to bomb the crap out of a innocent country like Serbia, but Russia doesn’t get to defend themselves against an OBVIOUS THREAT like Ukraine joining NATO and becoming nuclear?

In international relations, the liberal international order describes a set of global, rule-based, structured relationships based on political liberalism, economic liberalism and liberal internationalism since the late 1940s.

We made deals with weaker nations to accept the “rules” we wrote. Nations that are no longer weak take issue with these and want a new agreement drawn up which is equitable.
