Almost 80% of the population in sub-saharan Africa have anti-bodies to COVID while fewer than 6% have been vaccinated which means COVID is widely prevalent.
In Zambia, 87% of the bodies in one hospital’s morgue were infected with COVID.
There have been between 1 million and 2.9 Million excess deaths.
South African, a country with a robust health care system unlike the rest of Africa, reported over 250,000 excess deaths between may 2020 and Sep 2021.

Bottom line: COVID is rampant in Africa, killing hundreds of thousands if not millions but there is little testing for COVID therefore there are few reports of COVID.

On top of that as few as 10% of all deaths (all cause) are reported in some sub-Saharan countries. Anyone familiar familiar with the situation in countries such as Mali, the train wreck known as CAR, the DRC, etc., can see why.
