Why is the CCP still clinging on so tightly to this "Zero COVID Tolerance" policy when it is clearly harming its population and damaging its economy?
Tells me that they know something about the long-term effects about getting COVID that they're not sharing with the rest of the world.

I have thought maybe they know there’s another worse virus they’ve let out and Covid is cover.
Really though, it’s part of the Chicom power struggle. And a means for full scale control of their subjects.
China has a history of insane government policies and movements.
