Can’t compare other free speech to child porn. There are specific codified laws against violent porn, child porn images, and death threats. This is a huge difference from other forms of free speech and they ARE NOT THE SAME.

True, we have no laws against swastikas or hate speech. (And I am firmly against hate speech laws.) That is why Jeremiah Wright and others like him are free to spew hatred for Jews in their churches. And why imams are allowed to spew hatred for infidels in their mosques.
If one of their followers commits violence against Jews or infidels, the preacher/imam and/or church/mosque are liable for incitement to violence lawsuits. Why should Musk take on that risk by allowing the lunatic ravings of an antisemitic nutter on his platform?

No it doesn’t...There just happens to be codified laws forbidding just a couple selective forms of binary images and text. There are no laws against any other forms of binary and they are protected by the 1st. Including adult porn whether we like it or not.

We already have freedom of speech laws allowing people to use racial slurs and symbols. Kanye has not been arrested, nor should he be.
We do not have laws requiring that privately-owned entities allow any and all free speech. We certainly should not expect Musk to allow the sort of free speech that could open up Twitter to lawsuits charging incitement to violence.
Free speech does not extend to libel (see Alex Jones). Nor does it extend to incitement to violence (or imminent danger such as shouting fire in a crowded theater).

Musk is running a business. If he wants to build a vibrant platform allowing free speech, he also has to draw a line. Normal people don’t flock to the sewer of 8kun for a reason. It’s a cesspool of nasty nutters. Kanye can post his anti-Semitic statements and symbols all he likes there.

Back in the days of the Founding Fathers, had there been a Hitler and swastika and 99.999% of the populace against Nazism (as is the case today), anyone who praised Hitler and plastered posters with that symbol in the town square would have been shouted down and driven from the square, and his posters ripped down. (They might have tarred and feathered him, too!)
On Twitter, other users can’t drive such a person away or rip down the Tweet. Musk has to step in where he thinks moral people would. He has to draw the line somewhere. And he has to protect himself from lawsuits.

If swastika has bad connotations now — and it certainly does thanks to Hitler — then maybe it’s up to us to help turn that around. We shouldn’t capitulate to these people. It’s wrong that when we see a rainbow our first thought is “homosexual”; it should be a promise from God. It’s wrong that when he hear the word “gay” we think “homosexual”; we should think “happy”.
Caving to the thought police is wrong, and we need to change the wishy-washy “timing and context” cop-out to appease the bad guys.
Kanye’s stupid new symbol is a ridiculous result of an addled brain, and EVERYBODY knows that. No attention would be paid to it if they weren’t using it to take out Trump. They are using it for that purpose, and we’ll see how things shake out. God is in control.
