Where does a widowed pastor find a woman who is all the things a Christian woman ought to be, a unicorn on the chart, as his wife was?

Here in Alabama, and having been a regular church member for decades in different denominations, and having been divorced, single for a while, and remarried myself, I can tell you that I've known lots of women who fell into the chart at either the Unicorn zone or Fun zone.

Most of the ones I knew like that were divorced but weren't obsessed with hatred for their ex. In fact, they still had good relations with their former in-laws and treated them like family. When I was single again I avoided the ones still full of venom towards their ex and/or his family because I figured it'd be easy in their minds to excuse directing that venom towards me or my family.

Most of these good women, including the one I'm married to, were women who not only attended church but also volunteered a lot in church. My wife enjoyed helping others through church, so I married her thinking she'd be good at helping me finish raising our kids (and I hers) and also help take care of our parents in their old age. She has never let me down on that, especially since she helped me financially by living on a budget so we can retire early with her retiring before me so she now can put even more time to helping our parents (while I'm still working for a few years).

By the way, one of the things she was very attracted to about me is the man of God thing. I'm not a pastor. But I volunteer a lot with kids and with the heavy work at church (i.e. loading trailers of donations) and in whatever Sunday school class or small group I'm in, it's my job to answer whatever Bible questions nobody else can answer. LOL

A widowed Pastor should STOP looking and go to the prayer closet then leave it up to The KLord. Perhaps the Lord wants that Pastor to remain single so he can accomplish soemthing GOD has in mind.

My mom is available — an awesome preacher’s wife for 50 years, and now is widowed. Of course, she IS 98. Is that a problem? LOL! (She still will not miss church!!)
