Her death should be a lesson to the younger generation that actions can have deadly consequences. We still regret her death, think it was preventable and are sad she is no longer here to entertain her fans. But please learn that some early deaths are preventable.
God has famously snuffed certain few individuals out for committing one mortal sin. So there is certainly truth in saying that some people in history got what they deserved and that the rest of us should learn from their negative example. Maybe cite Holy Scripture in a tasteful way and leave it at that. Rather than get all “vengeancy” in a Comm Box.
It won't be, because most kids have no concept of the consequences of their actions. They think they are invincible, and most won't take advice of any kind.
It is horrible that she felt the need to destroy herself that way. Anne was the one who had control over her life, and her actions. It's not like she hadn't had alcohol problems in the past. I can't have sympathy for people who refuse to appreciate what they have in this life to the point where they willingly destroy it, and the people they love. If anything, her kids should have been her deciding factor on which way her life went. She chose poorly, and not just once. Anne and many others like her don't realize the damage they do to others by their selfish actions. I hope she rests in peace despite what she did to her children all those years.
