“Kicking the dead when they’re down, gee that sounds like fun.”
I’m a TRUTH guy. The truth is the truth even if you are dead.
A little something I found:
“While it is socially inappropriate in most circles to speak ill of a person in the immediate aftermath of their death, fortunately this belief does not hold sway for the long term or otherwise, to take an extreme example, we would have no recorded history at all. Putting aside public figures, while modern-day psychologists would likely agree that there comes a point when it is best to put something behind us rather than to continue to dwell on it, they would also likely agree that it is important not to white-wash over past events as the actions of the dead may not be able to physically harm us anymore but certainly can continue to do so mentally.”
Very good quote. Like that, and, it is also true. I will take that to heart.
I remember the first time one of my comments was removed from a thread on FR. It was in 2006, and Senator Robert "KKK" Byrd's wife had just died, and I commented that it was the first documented case of someone dying of "Byrd Flu" in this country. And of course some snowflake on FR complained, and it was removed.
Even if it's factually true that there is a turd in the punchbowl, that truth is beside the point.
It's wisdom to know the difference between what you can do or say, and what you should or shouldn't.
