There was a very interesting documentary on moving one of the early spy planes from the “skunkworks” when it was in California and out to the air base in Nevada.
They surveyed the entire route and had to move highway signs, light poles, etc. It was a huge operation, and had to be done in secret. “That sign blocks the view of the exit ramp...”
